Job Description:

We are currently accepting resumes for a Senior Data Architect position in Torrance CA.
This position requires candidates to work onsite. There might be a few remote days, but no commitment on that.

The selected candidate will perform the following duties:
Leadership and Project Management:
o Lead and oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of analytics projects from inception to completion.
o Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements.

Team Management:
o Manage a team of data analysts, data engineers, and BI specialists, providing direction, coaching, and support.
o Foster a collaborative and results-driven team environment.
Technical Expertise:
o Utilize technical expertise to guide the team in designing and implementing data solutions.
o Troubleshoot technical challenges and provide hands-on support when needed.
o Experience in BI Technologies (Database, ETL, Reporting) and AWS Cloud solutions is a plus.
o Design and implement ETL processes and data pipelines.
o Lead troubleshooting and performance-tuning activities.
Project Planning and Documentation:
o Develop detailed project plans, including resource allocation and task assignments.
o Ensure that projects are on track, within budget, and meet predefined success criteria.
o Experience in Agile delivery methodology is a plus.
o Maintain project documentation, including requirements, design documents, and project status reports.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
o Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to gather project requirements and ensure alignment with business needs.
o Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project progress and outcomes.
o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and create data models.
Quality Assurance:
o Ensure data quality, accuracy, and reliability in all analytics projects.
o Implement best practices and quality control measures.
Risk Management
o Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
o Proactively address issues and challenges that may arise during project execution.
Knowledge Sharing:
o Promote knowledge sharing and best practice adoption within the team and across the organization.
o Stay up to date with the latest BI features and best practices.

Position Success Criteria (Desired) - 'WANTS'

o Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Data Science, or a related field.
o Proven experience in a project management role with a focus on analytics and data-driven project
o Strong technical background with proficiency in data analytics tools and languages (e.g., Database, SQL, Informatica, Power BI, Business Objects) and AWS Solutions and Technologies (e.g. Redshift, Glue).
o Experience with data engineering and ETL processes, including data modeling, database design, and data integration techniques.
o Solid understanding of data governance, data security, and data privacy best practices.
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
o Ability to balance technical and project management responsibilities effectively.
o AWS certifications in data engineering or related areas are a plus.
o Project management certification (e.g., PMP, Scrum Agile) is a plus
