Position Information The Academic Affairs and Administrative Analyst provides high-level administrative support to the CNAS Student Academic Affairs & Interdepartmental Graduate Programs and supports the CNAS Divisional Dean of Student Academic Affairs. Reporting to the SAAIP Academic Resources Manager, this position provides analytical, administrative, and project management support to the CNAS Divisional Dean of Student Academic Affairs, UAAC and GSAC Assistant Deans, SAAIP ARM. This position involves interacting extensively with senior staff to gather needed data and information, analyzing a wide range of complex issues/requests, resolving or making recommendations for resolution, and following up to ensure problems are resolved appropriately. This position also provides analytical, administrative, and organizational support to the CNAS Executive Committee (EC), including meeting logistics, the preparation of meeting materials, meeting administration, and various correspondence required based on EC decisions. This position supports the SAAIP Academic Resources Manager (ARM) by providing high-level administrative, technical, and analytical support to the departments in financial, contract, grant administration, purchasing, travel, and departmental administrative assistance. In addition, they provide Financial Analysis Support for assigned departments within the unit. Performs payroll-related tasks to ensure accurate position funding reviews the Chart of Accounts, and conducts monthly payroll reports. This support will also include assisting with event planning logistics, calendaring, and meeting arrangements for the CNAS Divisional Dean, Assistant Dean, and Academic Resources Manager. The full salary range for the Academic Affairs and Administrative Analyst is $31.72 - $50.70 per hour. However, the expected pay scale for this position is $31.72 - $37.70 per hour. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff. Federal, state, or local government directives may impose additional requirements. Education Education Requirements Bachelor's degree in related area and/ or equivalent experience/ training. (Required) Experience Requirements Minimum of 2 years experience providing high-level executive, and analytical support. (Required) Demonstrated experience in providing high-level administrative and analytical support to senior staff and/or management. (Required) Minimum of 1 year of experience processing or transacting financial activities (Required) 1 year of experience supporting the work of high-level committee activities (Required) Minimum Requirements Strong initiative and follow-through, self-motivated and results-oriented Knowledge of Robert's Rules of Order in parliamentary procedures Solid communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all levels of staff verbally and in writing. Solid organizational skills and ability to multi-task with demanding timeframes. Ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality. Ability to use sound judgment in responding to issues and concerns. Skilled in the use of Microsoft Applications (e.g., Word, Excel and PowerPoint), email (i.e Outlook). Work effectively with all levels in the organization and develop informal, cooperative relationships Preferred Qualifications Thorough knowledge of University rules and regulations, processes, protocols and procedures for budget, accounting and fund management, and/or personnel management. Working knowledge of common organization-specific and other computer application programs.
