Job Description:
UniFirst First Aid Safety is seeking a dedicated Fire
Extinguisher Technician to join our team. This role requires
specialized knowledge in fire safety equipment maintenance,
primarily focusing on servicing and repairing fire extinguishers.
As part of UniFirst Corporation, a leader in uniform and protective
workwear, this position is crucial in maintaining the safety
standards and protective services we offer to businesses across
North America. The ideal candidate will provide essential services
ensuring that fire safety equipment meets regulatory standards and
operational readiness. Inspect, service, and repair various types
of fire extinguishers and other fire suppression systems. Conduct
on-site inspections and maintenance services at customer
facilities, adhering to established safety regulations. Record and
maintain accurate service documentation, preparing detailed service
reports for each customer visit. Educate customers on the proper
use and maintenance of their fire safety equipment. Stay current
with the latest fire protection technologies and safety standards
to ensure compliance and enhance service efficiency. Manage
inventory of parts and tools required to service fire extinguishers
and related fire suppression equipment. Proficiency in the use of
tools and technology used in fire extinguisher servicing. Strong
understanding of fire science and fire safety regulations.
Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to
diagnose and resolve issues efficiently. Medical Insurance Life
Insurance 401k Certified Fire Extinguisher Technician by a
recognized authority (e.g., NFPA 10 certification). Valid driver’s
license and a clean driving record as this position requires travel
to client sites.
