• Manage all aspects of general ledger, including monthly general ledger account reconciliations and review of journal entries for accuracy
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements and variance analysis
• Prepare cash flow projections
• Coordinate and assist in preparation of annual budgets
• Assist in formulating and maintaining effective internal controls over financial reporting and safe-guarding company's assets
• Analyze current processes, and recommend improvements and implement new processes with upper management's buy-in
• Maintain effective communications with Operation Team, Financial Analysts, external investment partners, and third-party property managers
• Review monthly property reports prepared by third-party property managers to ensure financials are prepared under US GAAP and to detect any issues with property operations
• -Provide effective coaching and supervision to Senior Accountants
• Researching accounting issues for compliance with generally accepted accounting principles
• Prepares reports for upper management and owners, as requested
• Serves as a liaison to external auditors for year-end financial statement audit
• Coordinate with other members of the accounting and tax team and with other departments such as the Legal Department
• Perform special projects as assigned
• Monitor and review accounts for possible fraudulent activity on a regular basis
• Supervise, train, and mentor direct reports
