Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented
Attorney specializing in Construction Defect Insurance Defense to
join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have extensive
experience defending insurance carriers and insured clients in
construction defect claims, providing strategic counsel, and
managing complex litigation matters from inception through
resolution. This role requires strong legal analysis, negotiation
skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with clients,
experts, and insurance professionals. Key Responsibilities:
Represent insurance companies and insured clients in construction
defect litigation, including trial and pre-trial proceedings.
Review and analyze insurance policies, contracts, and construction
documents to assess coverage and liability issues. Develop and
implement defense strategies tailored to the unique facts and legal
issues of each case. Conduct depositions, prepare pleadings,
motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents. Collaborate
with claims adjusters, engineers, and expert witnesses to build a
strong defense. Negotiate settlements and alternative dispute
resolutions to minimize client exposure. Advise clients on risk
management, policy interpretation, and coverage disputes related to
construction defects. Stay current with relevant laws, regulations,
and industry trends affecting construction defect litigation and
insurance defense. Manage case files efficiently and meet deadlines
in a fast-paced legal environment. Qualifications: Juris Doctor
(JD) degree from an accredited law school. Admission to the state
bar and in good standing. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in
construction defect litigation and insurance defense preferred.
Strong knowledge of construction law, insurance coverage
principles, and defect claims. Excellent written and oral
communication skills. Proven ability to manage multiple cases and
deadlines effectively. Strong negotiation and trial advocacy
skills. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving
abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a
collaborative team. Preferred: Experience working with insurance
carriers and familiarity with insurance policies and coverage
disputes. Background in alternative dispute resolution and
