Job Description:
A company is looking for a Specialist, Insurance Credit.
Key Responsibilities
Review and analyze accounts and credit balance reports from
insurance carriers and patients
Resolve patient and insurance credit balance refunds and research
unapplied cash activity accounts
Document requests and concerns, and respond to insurance companies
and patient requests for refunds in a timely manner
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
High school graduate or equivalent (GED) required; Associate or
Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration preferred
1 year of experience in insurance billing/insurance follow up for
Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers required
Experience analyzing explanation of benefits (EOBs) from various
insurance companies/payers
Knowledge of medical terminology preferred; knowledge of CPT/ICD-10
coding is a plus
