This is a safety-sensitive position.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Greeting new intakes and visitorsAssist in the intake process, answering incoming calls, room changes and passesAssist residents with daily schedules and weekend activitiesMonitor resident detoxification process including checking on detox clients every 15 minutes, monitor non-detox clients every 30 minutes or more frequently as assignedRecord all resident information as directed including resident rounding in electronic medical records systemReport current resident status to the RS Manager and on shift changeConduct bag searches, random searches and collect UDS on a regular basis from residents as directed. Interact with residents in a professional mannerRegularly drive company vehicles, including but not limited to driving clients to appointmentsPerform resident supervision in accordance with established policies and proceduresEnsure resident compliance with facility rules and guidelinesAssess residents throughout their stay as directedReport suspected resident abuse per policy and legal requirementsAct as a liaison between residents and the treatment team Ensure cleanliness of facility as well as resident rooms when housekeeping is unavailableUtilize personal protection equipment (PPE) and follows infection control procedures per policyOther duties as assignedQualificationsQualification Guidelines:Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Good written and verbal communication skillsSkills in time management and crisis interventionBasic knowledge of chemical dependency and psychological disordersAbility to summarize pertinent clinical information via written documentationMust be able to address and prioritize multiple task demands within established time framesMust be flexible in work hours in order to meet facility needsMust maintain self-control in volatile or hostile situations, such as when verbally or physically confrontedMust be able to set therapeutic limits and maintain therapeutic distance with clients and maintain therapeutic boundaries with clients during treatment and after dischargeAble to maintain confidentialityExceptional customer service skillsBasic computer skills including Word and OutlookKnowledge of HIPAA preferredAbility to use PPE as directedExperience dealing with patients or clients in a hospital or mental healthcare facility preferredEducation / Experience / Credentials:High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; Associates or Bachelors degree preferredExperience in a chemical dependency setting preferredCurrent Registered Alcohol Drug Technician credential requiredCurrent ServSafe Food Handler certification requiredCurrent CPR / 1st Aid certification requiredCurrent, valid California Driver License with good driving record (in sole discretion of company) requiredExperience dealing with patients or clients in a hospital or mental healthcare facility preferredPhysical Demands:Normal demands associated with an office and residential environmentFrequently stand, walk, and sitFrequently reach above, at, or below waist heightFrequently kneel, bend, stoop, turn, and twistFrequently lift and carry up to 10lbs., occasionally 20-50lbsWork on computers for periods of timeRecognize facesDistinguish colors as necessaryHear sufficiently and speak clearly on the telephone, in person, and in the environment, identify and distinguish sounds associated with the workplace See adequately to read computer screens and written documents necessary to the positionWork EnvironmentOffice environment with moderate noise levelResidential environment with moderate noise levelOtherThis position requires regular driving of company vehicles.This position requires local travel among company locations and locally.
